The 2010 Ford Taurus is all new, and it marks the first all-new model since Ford decided to bring back the Taurus nameplate following the dismal results of the Ford Five Hundred sedan. What Ford has also brought back is the SHO, the performance model of the Taurus.
Missing in action since 1994, the Ford Taurus SHO offered plenty of performance, features, and roominess that St Paul used car dealers say made it a valuable option for those wanting a performance sedan . The latest model promises to continue that same formula. While the exterior styling is fresh and sleek, customers at a Wyoming Ford dealer have also noted that interior space is outstanding. Plus, the interior is filled with features that consumers wouldn’t normally find outside of the luxury sedan segment.
But of course the Ford Taurus SHO would be nothing without power, and San Diego Ford Car Repair contests that the latest model truly delivers it. Powering the SHO is a twin-turbo direct-injected EcoBoost V6 that produces 365 horsepower. Thanks to all-wheel drive, that power is adequately tamed. Inside, lead-footed drivers can also control their shifting themselves thanks to steering wheel mounted shift paddles which certainly enhance the performance attitude.
Inside the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO, occupants will enjoy a unique range of entertainment and information systems, including Sync. The Taurus also comes standard with an array of safety features that have helped the 2010 model earn a top safety rating from IIHS.
